Michael Donahue, James Crowell, & the Sunflower Dreams Project

About this event

Artist reception for Jim Crowell & Michael Donahue!

New Birchbark by Jim Crowell

The work in this show is inspired by the great outdoors here in the Pioneer Valley, several trips he has taken, and the material he works with, from birchbark to found object.

Nature is his one touchstone and has constantly been his primary source of recreation, relaxation, and inspiration.

Jim is most excited in making the work; the act of creation is what motivates him and allows him to move forward and skillfully craft each new piece.

Michael Donahue

These characters and their living spaces represent many corners of the fringe. They represent the spaces myself and my family have created to survive an absurd world. The narrative they tell is just as confusing to the viewer as is it to me. Thank you deeply for your interest.
