The Mill District General Store, Society of Sketch

About this event

Society of Sketch is an 18+ community drawing night that blends fast-paced sketching with wildly dressed models and a whole lot of creative freedom. Each session features multiple models, a 60-second warm-up, and rotating 3–5 minute poses, with fun challenges thrown in for both the artists and the models. It’s not a class—it’s a collaborative, no-pressure space to connect with fellow creatives, loosen up your lines, and let loose your imagination. All skill levels welcome. Costumes are wild, the vibe is weird, and no two sessions are the same. First Wednesday of every month. Free to attend. 2026 SCHEDULE2/4 – DATE NIGHT: Bring a friend – draw each other!3/4 – LONG POSE NIGHT: 10-20 Minute Poses4/1 – APRIL FOOLS: A Circus Theme5/6 – CLOSE UP PORTRAITS6/3 – A FLORAL AFFAIR: Sketching with Flowers7/1 – DAD BOD BBQ: We sketch outside the gallery! *Weather Permitting8/5 – HEAVY METAL MAYHEM: Musical Props!9/2 – 80’S TIME WARP10/7 – GHOSTLY GATHERING: Posing as ghosts!11/4 – LEAF PEEPER COUTURE12/2 – ELVES ON SHELVES
