- ➤ Westover Air Reserve Base held explosives training on Sunday morning from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. Residents in Springfield, Wilbraham, and Ludlow reported loud booms (one said it sounded like a truck hit a house) during the bomb-diffusing drills. MassLive

- ➤ The Massachusetts Department of Public Health says flu activity is high with thousands ill and 66 deaths, including four children, as hospitals see increasing cases. Officials urge residents to get vaccinated + practice healthy habits such as handwashing and staying home when sick. MassLive
