  • Greenfield Cooperative Bank has launched Co-op ROOTS, a new volunteer program that lets employees serve local organizations in Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden counties.   • Rotary Club of West Springfield has planned its Valentine’s Murder Mystery Dinner Fundraiser for Sunday, Feb. 1 (5-8 p.m.) at Tansey’s Catered Table in Agawam.   • The city is asking residents to move parked cars from side streets because they block plow trucks from clearing snow after a winter storm. Mayor Domenic Sarno said main roads are cleared well but parking bans are enforced for side streets (ticketing is possible).  NewsRadio 560 WHYN

HEALTH NEWS

  • ServiceNet Clinics will join River Valley Counseling Center on Feb. 1 to create a unified mental health system serving multiple communities including Springfield and nearby areas + the merger will expand services and offer more flexible opportunities for local therapists in response to growing needs.  BusinessWest
  • AMR handled many weather-related calls after Winter Storm Fern dropped heavy snow on Jan. 25 and 26. The ambulance service advised residents to clear walkways + praised DPW for clearing main roads to help emergency crews in the area.  The Reminder
