  • Country Bank marked its 175th anniversary in 2025 by giving over $1 million to nonprofits in Central and Western Mass, with 1,826 volunteer hours from staff + deep local support for food, housing, education and health programs.  BusinessWest
  • 527 Candle Co. is now open Wednesday through Sunday at 1018 Central Street in Palmer, offering hand-poured soy wax candles in 53 unique scents and related home items.   • Volvo Cars West Springfield announced it will demolish its current building and construct a new, state-of-the-art facility. Beginning Monday, March 2, service operations will temporarily relocate to the Fathers and Sons Volkswagen at 434 Memorial Ave.—the new facility is expected to finish in the fourth quarter.  BusinessWest

  • Young@Heart Chorus will honor the late Evelyn Harris with its 'Hope & Glory' concert this Saturday at the Hope Center for the Arts in Springfield. The event features performances by Sweet Honey in the Rock and former member Yasmeen Betty Williams (with Kayla Staley joining to perform songs Harris loved) and starts at 4 p.m.  MassLive

  • The Springfield Sportsmen's Show drew outdoor enthusiasts over the weekend at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield despite blizzard conditions Monday.
