  • Mary Foster of Sixteen Acres said strong winds overnight knocked a tree onto her husband’s and daughter’s cars, scattering broken glass but leaving everyone unhurt + she has contacted her insurance company.  Western Mass News

  • Brew Practitioners has marked 10 years of success as the owners adjust operations amid rising costs and shifting drinking habits. The brewery, located at 45 Baldwin St. (East Longmeadow), remains open and invites the community to enjoy its classic beers.  BusinessWest
  • BusinessWest and Innovate413 are hosting the StratAI Series event to help manufacturing companies develop practical AI strategies. It is scheduled for Thursday, Mar. 26 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Brian Corridan Center at STCC Technology Park + will feature expert panels, breakout workshops, and complimentary food and drinks.  BusinessWest

  • Sarah Lachenmeyer will skate in Disney on Ice’s Frozen and Encanto show at the MassMutual Center this weekend. The production is part of her tour with Feld Entertainment — delighting families with two distinct story segments and interactive character experiences.  MassLive
  • The Springfield Symphony Orchestra held its Education Connection youth concert yesterday at Symphony Hall with nearly 2,000 students from Springfield, Northampton, and the Berkshires. The program, titled 'The Orchestra Sings' (led by conductor Jorge Soto), introduced live classical music with performances by almost 60 musicians and a Sci-Tech drumline.  MassLive
  • Minnechaug Regional High School senior Anna O’Toole is Springfield’s Colleen for the upcoming St. Patrick’s Parade on March 22 — she will join her court to celebrate Irish heritage and spark local youth pride.  MassLive
  • Folk singer Judy Collins announced her farewell tour, beginning April 2 in Parkersburg and ending Dec. 19 in Ogunquit. The tour includes three Massachusetts shows (Lexington on June 13, Hyannis on July 15, and Cohasset on July 16) and more dates are coming.  MassLive

  • Springfield Technical Community College hosts its fourth annual International Women’s Day celebration on Mar. 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the STCC Gymnasium (Building 2). The event presents a panel discussion, networking, and local women-owned business vendors to celebrate leadership and empowerment.  BusinessWest
  • Springfield’s aquatics division is set to offer a free Red Cross lifeguard training course for public school students from April 21-24 at Milton Bradley Elementary School (others pay fees) during the April school vacation. People must take an in-pool swim test on April 15 before advancing, and Mayor Domenic J. Sarno aims for participants to work as lifeguards this summer.  MassLive
