  • Actress, author, and model Bridget Moynahan was honored with the JFK National Award at a reception held Saturday night that recognized her contributions to the community and Irish heritage. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • On March 14th, owners of the former West Springfield power station received approval from ISO New England for a $70 million lithium-ion battery storage project that will be reviewed by local authorities while residents in Westfield and nearby towns remain worried about safety risks from past water pollution.  MassLive

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno has called for higher bail for violent repeat offenders after eight residents were arrested last week, including 21-year-old Jahiem Sutherland (arrested March 12) who faces multiple firearms charges. He said stricter measures will help keep dangerous offenders from coming back.  MassLive
