- ➤ The Healey-Driscoll administration and MassTech’s Center for Advanced Manufacturing awarded $540,473 to 20 local manufacturers to upgrade cybersecurity defenses. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ ICE and law enforcement arrested 370 undocumented offenders in Massachusetts from March 18th to March 23rd to target transnational gangs including MS-13, Tren de Aragua, Trinitarios and 18th Street gangs, and they seized 44 kilograms of methamphetamines, 5 kilograms of fentanyl, 1.2 kilograms of cocaine, three guns + ammunition. - ➤ Dr. Kate Barlow—an associate professor at American International College in Springfield—was elected as a distinguished scholar fellow by the National Academies of Practice at the induction ceremony held on March 15 in Washington, D.C. BusinessWest
- ➤ Western Mass News asked viewers about their concerns over the possible dismantling of the U.S. Department of Education after an executive order called for shifting authority back to the states—raising questions on student loan oversight and support for students with disabilities.
