CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A bicyclist was killed in Springfield when a vehicle struck him near Parker Street and Verge Street around 5:20 p.m. Thursday — police said the driver fled on foot, and officers later closed Parker Street near Lowes to Oak Street. Western Mass News
- ➤ Three people were arrested on Thursday after Springfield police searched two local properties; 21-year-old Jeremy Collazo and 22-year-old Jasmine Soto-Sepulveda were detained from an apartment on Plainfield Street where officials found 700 heroin bags, a ghost gun, and cash + 29-year-old Wilfredo Arvelo-Ruiz was arrested from a Suffolk Street home where an illegal gun, nearly $90,000, and over 10,000 heroin bags were recovered + all face charges.
