- ➤ Students from Discovery Early College High School in Springfield won a New England district robotics contest in March and are now training for off-season competitions. - ➤ Springfield officials launched a law enforcement task force today with partners from Ludlow, Chicopee, Holyoke and the Mass. State Police Air Wing to remove illegal dirt bikes from city streets. The mayor and other officials are revising legislation that must pass city council to help police track and seize the bikes — and they urge residents to call local police when they see them. - ➤ Mayor Domenic J. Sarno announced plans on Monday morning to form a regional task force with Chicopee and Holyoke mayors and local law enforcement—this group will work to remove dangerous dirt bikes from Springfield streets and nearby towns as the weather warms. MassLive
