- ➤ Parent Villages hosted its 7th annual Education Matters Brunch Saturday to honor Springfield educators by awarding a $11,000 scholarship to a student and a $2,500 scholarship to a parent; CEO LaTonia Naylor said extra education programs are needed as federal funding cuts loom—raising concerns for local schools.
