  • The Mason Square Library on State Street replaced its damaged air conditioning and improved its entrances after lightning struck in July 2023. Mayor Sarno will celebrate these updates today at 2:15 p.m. with library staff + community members to keep the space cool and safe for summer.  MassLive

HEALTH NEWS

  • ER visits for tick bites in Massachusetts reached record levels in April, and health experts advise residents to remove ticks promptly + keep the specimen for testing if symptoms arise. They recommend using EPA-approved repellents and checking the body after outdoor activities.  MassLive

  • Local racing fans are gearing up for the Annual Wilbraham Hill Climb scheduled later this week in Wilbraham — organizers plan competitive races and family-friendly activities to celebrate motorsport in the community.  Western Mass News
