- ➤ Officials said road closures will take place for the upcoming World's Largest Pancake Breakfast in Springfield — drivers should plan alternate routes as the event is expected to draw large crowds. Western Mass News
- ➤ Springfield hosts the World’s Largest Pancake Breakfast today to celebrate its 389th birthday, charging $3 for adults and $1 for children—roads on Main Street, Court Street, and Boland Way are closed until 2 p.m. Local leaders such as Springfield Fire Commissioner B.J. Calvi will help kick off the event, which offers pancakes, bacon, and live entertainment on street stages. Western Mass News

- ➤ On November 21, 2024, Springfield police responded to a call on Lyman Street involving armed, intoxicated, and suicidal suspect Devin Lewis who left a building with both a rifle and a handgun; after officers commanded him to drop his weapons and Lewis discharged his own weapon while officers each fired one round, Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni released his final report confirming that the officers acted reasonably and lawfully—actions consistent with their training and department policy.
