Massachusetts before Salem' (on display through Nov. 2) that shows how fear of witches spread in Springfield 40 years before the Salem witch trials. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Springfield public schools are working to help students overcome the challenges of poverty and trauma by using early intervention, assigning each student a trusted adult, and creating safe, supportive classrooms. Educators say these efforts will boost learning outcomes — and community programs are also offering additional support.  MassLive
