- ➤ Ciara Speller launched the Jeffrey Speller Foundation+ in honor of her late father and to boost community support. The foundation will host its third annual golf fundraiser on Aug. 8 at Wyckoff Country Club in Holyoke to help underserved youth. BusinessWest

- ➤ Executive director Modesto Montero-Forman has grown Libertas Academy Charter School from 90 sixth-graders in 2017 to nearly 600 students while transforming a Chestnut Street building into a permanent facility on Liberty Street that now offers a gym, cafeteria, art room, and music room.
