  • Springfield police said a man was fatally shot near Chestnut & Pearl Streets Saturday night and that the victim remains unidentified while investigators ask anyone with information to come forward.  NewsRadio 560 WHYN
  • In May, ICE detained around 1,500 people in Massachusetts to remove individuals accused of crimes such as drug trafficking, sex offenses & officials said the agency will continue operations while warning that those who impede its efforts will face prosecution.  MassLive
  • Chicopee Police responded to a shooting at 16 Charbonneau Terrace last Thursday around 9 p.m. that left 21-year-old Tre Kingsbury dead, and 17-year-old Jayshawn Kempton was arraigned on murder and illegal firearm possession charges—he is held without bail and will face a pre-trial conference on June 26.  Western Mass News

  • Officials said drivers in Springfield will face road closures later this weekend ahead of the third annual Ironman 70.3 competition—the set-up includes closing Court Street on Saturday and reducing lanes on East Columbus Avenue, Hall of Fame Avenue, Longhill Street and through Forest Park on Sunday, with the lower level of I-91 south garage also closed.
