CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Springfield man was arrested after officers stopped his car on Maple Street shortly before 6 p.m. last Thursday because its headlights were off, its registration was revoked, and he had no license—police found a loaded illegal gun and he now faces gun and motor vehicle-related charges. - ➤ Jamie Dodge from Brownville, Maine pleaded guilty to aggravated rape and kidnapping charges stemming from a 2000 sexual assault on Sand Hill Road in Holland—he was sentenced to 12 to 15 years in state prison with three years probation. Western Mass News
- ➤ Springfield Police arrested Michael Murdock Jr. on Tuesday in connection with a May shooting in Wilbraham—officers found a loaded firearm, nearly five grams of cocaine and more than $600 in cash in his car, and he now faces charges of possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug, ammunition without an FID card and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
