- ➤ Sunshine Village's board announced that Gina Kos will retire as president and CEO at the end of April, 2026 after more than 35 years of leadership—she helped grow the nonprofit and guide it through many changes. - ➤ Beaulieu Home Improvement has named Springfield Marine Corps veteran Timothy Tracy as the winner of its Veterans Project—Home Renovations for Heroes, which offers free home repairs to local veterans. - ➤ Researchers at UMass Amherst made a new nanoparticle vaccine that stopped melanoma, pancreatic, and triple-negative breast cancer in mice + almost all vaccinated mice stayed tumor-free when they were exposed to cancer cells, with some mice showing no spread of the cancer.
