- ➤ A Salute to Soldiers will host its seventh annual fundraiser and first annual golf tournament at Tekoa Country Club in Westfield on Oct. 17 to benefit America’s VetDogs, a nonprofit that trains service dogs at no charge for disabled veterans and first responders. The event aims to raise over $20,000 and sponsor three dogs, with golf registration beginning at 10 a.m.—a reception set to start at 4:30 p.m. featuring dinner, live music, and raffle prizes.
