- ➤ Bowling fans gathered in Chicopee on Saturday for the Joseph D. Freedman Bowl-A-Thon, which returned after a five-year break to raise funds for Camphill Village — attendees enjoyed raffles and pizza. All proceeds supported resources for adults with developmental disabilities at the village. Western Mass News
- ➤ The 10th annual Gunnery Sergeant Thomas J. Sullivan Remembrance Run was held on Sunday at East Forest Park’s Nathan Bill’s Bar and Restaurant where his brothers Joe and Jon paid tribute to his sacrifice while 300 participants received volunteer military support amid a government shutdown. Proceeds will go to the Gunnery Sergeant Sullivan Fund at Pope Francis High School and help support Marine Corps birthday ball events. Western Mass News
- ➤ Registration for the 103rd Toy for Joy campaign begins today through Friday November 14 at the Springfield Citadel website SAAngeltree.org for families with children 16 or under; applicants must register once and bring a confirmation email and photo ID to pick up age-appropriate toys, games and books on designated December dates. - ➤ The annual Pawzaar Craft Fair was held Saturday in Springfield to raise funds for lifesaving animal care at the TJO Animal Control and Adoption Center—over 35 vendors sold pet items, raffle tickets and baked goods during the event. Western Mass News
