  • Massachusetts food pantries have been stretched thin since the pandemic—with the recent SNAP freeze worsening shortages for families in Lynn and Chelsea. Organizers say they will face a challenging Thanksgiving week as rising prices and growing demand push resources to their limit.  MassLive
  • A Bags for Bravery campaign was launched today in Springfield—collecting donated bags for local first responders. Organizers say the effort will gather needed supplies—supporting community safety.  Western Mass News
  • Eversource is set to support the Salvation Army’s Toy for Joy campaign this December—helping distribute holiday toys to hundreds of children in Springfield, Holyoke and Greenfield. The company has teamed up with other volunteers and donated $3,000 as part of the long-running drive that runs from early November to Christmas Eve.  MassLive
  • The Springfield Redevelopment Authority and the Community Music School of Springfield will host the fifth annual tree lighting at Union Station on Monday at 1:45 p.m. — local officials and Santa Claus will add festive lights, holiday music, and cheer to the celebration— drawing families and visitors to enjoy the holiday spirit.  Western Mass News
