- ➤ A new PetSmart store opened at Springfield Crossing (the former Eastfield Mall on Boston Road) at 9 a.m. Saturday, and shoppers are excited for BJ’s Wholesale Club and Chick-fil-A to come. Western Mass News
- ➤ A player won $12,758 on a $5 bet on Ultimate Fire Link on Nov. 28 at MGM Springfield, and another win the day after Thanksgiving netted $14,731. The casino paid out over $80 million in jackpot prizes from February through October, with July recording the highest monthly total. MassLive
- ➤ Island Spice celebrated its three-year anniversary last Saturday at its Center Street location in Chicopee and overcame personal and business challenges. The family-run restaurant will add beer and wine to the menu in January (according to consultant Lisa Totz). Western Mass News
