- ➤ Mission-Rich Academy will host its first live leadership intensive — Feb. 12–13 — in Springfield, where nonprofit and micro-business leaders will learn strategies to build sustainable systems; ten local micro-business owners have received scholarships from the Latino Economic Development Corporation. - ➤ Springfield celebrated the first day of Kwanzaa yesterday at City Hall where Mayor Domenic Sarno declared Kwanzaa Week and honored local community members. Today, the Community Kwanzaa Festival offers vendors, live performances and a keynote speaker at the Boys and Girls Club Family Center on Acorn Street. Western Mass News
