SEAN MAGWIRE | LIVE AT PROGRESSION BREWING

Saturday, November 21 | 7 – 9:30pm

Award-winning songwriting, heartfelt storytelling, and a voice shaped by a lifetime of musical exploration.

Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter Sean Magwire brings his distinctive blend of contemporary folk, Americana, and acoustic melodies to Progression Brewing Company. Influenced by artists ranging from The Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel to Coldplay, Sean crafts deeply personal songs that explore love, loss, resilience, and the beautifully complicated nature of everyday life.

A two-time Grand Prize winner in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest , Sean also earned the prestigious Lennon Award for Folk Song of the Year in 2022. His songwriting has taken him from Chicago’s thriving folk scene to stages at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, and numerous festivals across the country.

His fourth solo album, Echoes in the Wind (2025), continues his exploration of the human experience through thoughtful lyrics, memorable melodies, and an unmistakably personal approach to storytelling. His music has also received recognition from NPR, PBS, The Boston Globe , and Rolling Stone Español .

Whether he’s reflecting on life’s quieter moments or finding hope in unexpected places, Sean’s music offers something increasingly rare: songs that invite you to listen a little closer.
