About this event
The Mount Holyoke College and Amherst College Offices of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are honored to welcome acclaimed filmmaker Mira Nair to campus on November 12 for a lecture centering the craft of filmmaking, film’s capacity to challenge stereotypes and generational assumptions, and the issues she so passionately explores in her own filmmaking — the tug of competing worlds felt by millions of immigrants, and ways to bridge the gap between cultures, races and genders.
The talk will be followed by a reception.
This program is made possible through the generosity of an anonymous donor.
